BCHS Art Club is an organization with a focus on bringing creativity and visual art to the schools and community of Breckinridge County. The focus is to create opportunities for encouraging everyone to create through community painting classes, visual journaling workshops, parent involvement pottery nights, and Art Shows.
Band is open to instrumental musicians in grades 9-12 who have completed at least a year of middle school band instruction. Students in the band must be available to participate in all aspects of the program, including marching band, pep band, concert band, parades, and any other performance opportunities.
Students that exemplify leadership qualities and have a servant-attitude are nominated by teachers. Nominees must also be in good standing with grades and attendance. There is a student-imposed cap of 15 members per year, so students will be admitted to the club based on current numbers. Students participate in service projects and fundraisers to help out those in need in our schools as well as our community. Dues are $20. Members have opportunities to attend meetings, conventions, and may apply for Beta scholarships and have other members-only opportunities available to them.
Experienced chess players and beginners alike are welcome. We are happy to teach new members how to play chess, while experienced players will play against each other. The atmosphere is generally relaxed, but competitions may be put together, dependent on club interest. There is no cost to join!
Through the BCHS Chorale program, students can build on knowledge of vocal music and contribute to yearly performances for the school and community. Those students with the desire to become more involved and further hone their vocal talents can also try out for Chamber Singers.
Students enrolled in marketing and business related courses are eligible to join DECA. DECA is a unique organization that develops skills needed to succeed in the marketing field. Skills in areas such as advertising, promotion, selling, finance, and distribution are emphasized. Management and entrepreneurial concepts involving creative problem solving, effective leadership through goal setting, consensus building, project implementation, and many others are also included to help students succeed in a marketing or business career. DECA helps a student focus on and apply classroom learning to specific marketing careers in fields such as Fashion, Sports and Entertainment, Retailing, Finance, Hospitality, and Travel/Tourism.
Fellowship of Christan Students is an interdenominational Christian organization. This means that we exist as a place for all followers of Jesus, regardless of what church we attend, to fellowship and encourage each other. Our desire is to see Christ glorified and proclaimed through our living and conduct. All students at BCHS are welcome to join at any time. There is no cost for membership in FCS.
The National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Any student with an Agriculture class can be in FFA!
The Breckinridge County Junior Chamber strives to offer educational opportunities to students in our community. Our goal is to make these students more aware of what Breckinridge County has to offer and train them to become leaders of tomorrow. We believe this program will assist in developing young people into better citizens and build relationships to support their growth as leaders. We hope to build a network between local business and civic leaders and our high school students to enhance the educational experience and complement academic classroom learning.
The purpose of this chapter shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of Breckinridge County High School.
Membership in the Breckinridge County High School Pep Club entitles each member admission to all home athletic events, with the exception of district and regional tournament games. The cost of membership ($15) not only provides a shirt for each pep club member to wear proudly at games and events, but it also covers the cost of supplies throughout the year. These supplies may include posters and poster-making supplies, supplemental items for costumes/theme nights, and school spirit items.

The Kentucky Department of Education’s Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) uses project-based learning principles to empower student learning and achievement. STLP provides a means for students to design, make, connect and learn through technology utilization and creation of original digital content.
The purpose of our student council is to provide a voice for the student body under the adult supervision of the faculty and administration. The council will equally represent all grade levels and will welcome representation from a diverse group of individuals.
TSA is the Technical Student Association and is for any student currently enrolled or that has been enrolled in Engineering or Aeronautics. TSA aims to improve student leadership and provides opportunities for students to develop STEM skills. Students are able to work with robotics, drones, Vex IQ parts as well as other STEM activities.
