Subjects Taught
AP Chemistry, Chemistry, Honors Chemistry

I earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Western Kentucky University in 1999 while working in the chemical industry. I completed a M.S. in Chemistry from WKU in 2003 while studying analytical chemistry techniques. In 2004, I graduated with a M.A. in Secondary Education.

I worked in the chemical industry prior to education. After completing my undergraduate studies and working as a laboratory chemist, I began teaching as a graduate student studying analytical chemistry at WKU. While working in the Chemistry Department as a graduate teaching assistant, I also began graduate studies in Secondary Education. I have been teaching High School, Dual-Credit Chemistry, and College courses both on campus and online since 2003. In 2014, I attended University of Louisville as a graduate teaching assistant in the Chemistry Department while refreshing and updating my own understanding of the application and relevance of chemistry to our world. In addition to teaching, I have also worked in development of online text and course resources for high school and college level chemistry courses. I am happy to find myself working in the Breckinridge County School system.

My interests include visual arts, music, nature, and philosophy. I love to draw, paint, write, play guitar, and be outdoors.
