Tiger Student Y Club Impresses at KUNA 2015!

      Breckinridge County High School Student Y Club participated in the Kentucky United Nations Assembly in March. The Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA) is a 3-day experiential learning conference in which students participate directly in simulated international diplomacy. KUNA offers students the opportunity to experience the richness of cultures from around the world, develop empathy, and hone their critical thinking skills while engaging with a wide variety of perspectives and global issues. Seventy two countries were represented at this conference and Breckinridge County High School students represented the country of Singapore. Connor Bland, Austin Greenwell, and Bradley Orr wrote and presented a resolution to Enact Eco-Friendly Energy Trade among All United Nations. The resolution was ranked highest in committees. Breckinridge County High School received the following recognition and awards at the conference:

  • Highest Ranked Resolution in Committee: Connor Bland, Austin Greenwell, and      Bradley Orr
  • Delegation of Excellence: Group Award
  • Outstanding Ambassador: Bradley Orr
  • Outstanding Speaker: Abby Burke
  • Flag Bearers:       Wyatt Lucas and Kassidy Riviello
  • Sign Bearer:       Madison Cottrell
  • International Stage: Bradley Orr, Yichun Zhou, Julie Tindell,      and Destiney Dowell
  • Conference Life Committee Member: Connor Bland
  • Media Corps Editor: Helena Williams
