Welcome to Breckinridge County High School and thank you for visiting our page!  I feel very fortunate to work with the wonderful people of Breckinridge County every day.

I graduated from Meade County High School in 2001.  After graduation, I attended Western Kentucky University, where I majored in English and Allied Language Arts and graduated with my bachelor's degree in May of 2005.  I completed my student teaching experience here at BCHS in the Spring of 2005 with Mrs. Lydia Grimes.  I landed an awesome first teaching job at Meade County High School.  After teaching at MCHS for a year, I moved and taught at Mercer County Senior High School for a year and Mercer County 9th Grade Academy for 4 years.  During my time in Mercer County, I completed both my Masters degree as well as my Rank I in School Counseling.  I also hold an endorsement for Gifted and Talented Education.  I was blessed to be offered the opportunity of returning home to Breckinridge County as Guidance Counselor of BCHS beginning with the 2011-2012 school year.  I have now completed ten years in education, and love coming to work every day.

One thing I want all students to know is I believe in you!  I am not here to "push" all students in the same direction.  Contrary to popular belief, our world needs skilled laborers, college graduates, and military personnel.  This means that you need to find your path - that's my job.  Whether it's a conversation in my office, over email, or at a ball game, I want to help you find what makes you, you.  Don't ever settle for anything; instead, work hard to achieve your goals - and keep setting new ones!  Life is about continuing to build who you are - ask any adult and they wiill tell you that over time, who you are changes.  Embrace the change - never settle!
